I was in a mood. It was the first warm day at the end of winter and I decided to tape off some paper and pull colors out of my bin without looking. The sun started beating down and instead of icy cold, I was summer-in-the-tropics hot. The acrylic paint was drying fast in the sun so I worked furiously and funnily enough, the result was as hot as the day.
I’m leaving at the beginning of next month to pick up my nomadic lifestyle after being snowed in for half the winter. So, as usual, I have to dispose of the works I’ve done or put them in storage for next year. I prefer selling them off. Last year, the people who bought my departure sale pieces were so happy to have an original painting at a price they could afford, I decided to do it again.
